Pressure Relief Valves

Pressure Relief Valve is also called Safety Relief Valve, when the metering pump spit out side pipeline blockage, the liquid can be returned to the original medicine barrel through the pressure relief valve, do not cause the metering pump to spit out the side pressure continues to rise, destroy the metering pump and pipeline, the general pressure relief valve set pressure is usually less than the maximum working pressure of the metering pump or the system can withstand the pressure of about 1 BAR.
This series of pressure relief valve is a diaphragm valve that opens only when the fluid pressure is greater than its set pressure. The pressure relief valve should be installed in the discharge line of the pump and should be close to the pump. Setting a pulsation damper and back pressure valve between the pump outlet and the pressure relief valve can help improve the performance of the pressure relief valve. The pressure of the valve should be set when the valve is installed and the pump is running, a pressure gauge should be installed between the pump and the pressure relief valve, starting from the minimum pressure to adjust the valve’s adjustment screws until the pressure gauge reaches the desired pressure value. Turning the screw clockwise increases the set pressure and decreases counterclockwise, changing the pressure by about 8 psi per full turn.
